The Auckland Rugby League’ Annual Awards Dinner
was a great success
with over 500 in attendance. The evening was well represented by all the Clubs in the Auckland area and some very important dignatories such as His Excellency Lt General The Right Honourable Jerry Mataparae, Sir Peter Leitch, MP Phil Goff and MP David Shearer.
The evening was hosted brilliantly by Mr Dale Husband keeping it interesting and filling the lounge with much laughter throughout. There was excitement for all the recipients and despair for the odd one or two, but overall rugby league was the real winner with talents being bought to the fore with the wonderful coverage of Maori Television and of course the Ministry of League heading back to the grassroots of our game.
Big congratulations to all the recipients and of course the winners on the evening.
