Judicial

The Auckland Rugby league has an independently appointed Judicial Committee to administer all judicial issues required.

The Judicial Committee is empowered by the Auckland Rugby League to adjudicate on all reported orderings off during a game, called off games, instances of foul play, misconduct or actions prejudicial to the well-being of rugby league regardless of whether the reported person had been sent from the field of play. All Auckland Rugby League offical are able to cite a player or member for instances as defined above.

The Judicial Committee has the power to impose any one of or a combination of the following:

  1. Deem the ordering off was a sufficient penalty
  2. Issue a caution or severe caution
  3. Suspension from playing for a stated time
  4. Suspension from administration, coaching or managing any club team to a stated time and date.
  5. Suspension from any venue under the control of the Auckland Rugby League.
  6. A monetary fine in the case of a team or club misconduct.
  7. A period of refereeing in lieu of suspension.

All suspensions incurred are by due date and until 4pm on a Wednesday.

The Judicial Committee meets every Monday night at 7pm at Cornwall Park Clubrooms, Puriri Drive, Greenlane. In the event the Monday falls on a Public holiday the Judicial will meet on the Tuesday.

Any player ordered off in a game is unable to take the field in any other game for any other team until they have appeared at Judicial.

Any suspended person has the right of appeal to any sentence imposed. Refer to the Appeals Section of General Information.
