International Trainer Accreditation

The International Trainer Accreditation is the minimum standard expected of experienced, senior trainers and International Representative Trainers and is currently in development with International Rugby League bodies.

The International Trainer Accreditation will be delivered in line with international standards of the Australian Rugby League, First Aid Officer level 2, and the National Rugby League SMA level 2.

The Target delivery date for the international trainer programme will be within 2010.

To qualify for entry into this programme the candidate must have attained the NZRL FAO and National Trainer accreditations either through course completion or Recognition of Prior Learning, and be able to demonstrate a minimum of 150 hours as a trainer (e.g. Log books, training plans etc) with endorsement from a Senior club coach, Club Chairperson or district.

To register interest in the International Trainer Accreditation email dain@nzrl.co.nz with your name, club and contact details. You will then be advised of the progress with this programme as it occurs.

Recognised Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning (RPL) may be made where the criteria of the module has been met by the candidate. See the application form for RPL.

All module requirements must be completed for accreditation to be awarded.

Deduction from course costs can be made where an application for RPL has been received and accepted prior to the running of a course where additional modules are required to complete the requirements of an accreditation level.
