Player/Team Registrations

  1. All player’s must register at the commencement of each season through their nominated club affiliated to the Auckland Rugby League. Registrations are completed and submitted by the players nominated club and he/she will remain under that clubs jurisdiction until transferred or cleared as per the respective regulations. (Refer Transfer/Clearance section of General Information). All registrations must be on Official Registration Sheets.
  2. No player is able to take the field unless they are registered with their club and eligibility ratified by the Auckland Rugby League.
  3. Any player who registers for a club at the commencement of the season but does not take the field and subsequently registers for another club under the correct registration procedures, the original registration will be invalid.
  4. No player is able to register for any club other than the club for which they last played for without completing the required transfer or clearance requirements.
  5. No player can be registered on the Official Registration Sheets for their new club until their former club has approved the transfer/clearance formalities. If a registration is submitted without this being completed, the registration will be invalid and a new registration form must be completed once the transfer/clearance formalities are completed. If a player takes the field in this period, the player will be deemed out of order.
  6. All new players registering to play for any team must produce proof of age by presentation of an original birth certificate, passport, photographic driver’s license.
  7. Players in Mini/Mod grades (U/6 to U/12) may also be registered on presentation of a letter from their school showing date of birth however before being eligible to register for competition football (U/13 upwards) or representative teams, they must produce one of the requirements outlined in (vi) above.
  8. All players from U/13 upward (excluding Open Age Teams and Premiers) must also have a Photographic Identification Card. If no card, the player is ineligible to take the field. Refer to the Photo ID Section of General Information.
