Life member Dr Lloyd Drake O.B.E. has passed away


Auckland Rugby League life member Dr Lloyd Drake M.B, ChB., O.B.E. passed away on Monday September 5, aged 88. 

Drake was the leagues doctor for many years, serving on duties at Carlaw Park on Sundays including all representative events. He was also the ARL doctor for the Auckland teams. 

Drake's funeral service will be held at Manukau Memorial Gardens Chapel, 361 Puhinui Rd, Papatoetoe on Saturday 10th September 2016 at 11am. 

The Board, staff and wider community of the Auckland Rugby League are deeply saddened by the loss and wish to express their deepest sympathies to the Drake family.

He will be greatly missed.
