In an exciting development for grassroots rugby league, ARL has forged a partnership with HART Sport, a leading sports equipment and accessories supplier.

This collaboration will support the ARL community by promoting active lifestyles and providing essential gear for players of all ages. HART Sport and ARL have united in a shared ambition to give Auckland’s tamariki a headstart to grow greatness. That’s the driving force behind ARL HART Sport Headstart, an initiative that includes giving free water bottles to all under-6 players and in 2025, supplying headgear and mouthguards to all junior players. HART Sport has a long history of supporting grassroots sport and will be the Official Partner of ARL’s Junior Grades. Both organisations are deeply committed to empowering grassroots players through sports participation, and realising the benefits that being part of rugby league has on our young tamariki, making this partnership a natural fit for ARL's mission. 

In addition to the Junior Grades, HART Sport is the Official Partner of ARL’s pre-school programme, League Tag Tots. This ARL programme targets pre-schoolers and uses the fun and interactive game of league tag to focus on early-stage development of wellbeing, communication, co-ordination skills while fostering a sense of belonging. CEO of ARL, Rebecca Russell says, “At ARL, we’re searching for partners who share our ambitions.
