Auckland Rugby League proudly brought back its Women in League Round - a day dedicated to honouring the incredible women who make our game what it is. From the grassroots to the top levels of competition, this special round celebrated the rise of female rugby league in Tāmaki Makaurau.

More than just a tribute to the vital behind-the-scenes roles women have historically held, Women in League Round now shines a spotlight on the players, coaches, managers, and volunteers who are front and centre, shaping the future of our sport. This celebration recognised the passion, leadership, and growing impact of women across all areas of rugby league, reminding us that the game is stronger, richer, and more exciting because of them.

The day featured a full schedule of action, showcasing the depth of female talent across our competitions with matches from our Under 16s, Under 18s, Women’s Championship, and Premiership Steele Shanks teams - all highlighting the strength and growth of the women’s game. The day concluded with a thrilling Steele Shanks Premiership clash between Otahuhu and Papakura, capping off a powerful celebration of women in rugby league.
