Auckland Rugby League will be holding Open Trials for our U16 and U18 Boys & Girls Auckland 9s Teams ahead of the upcoming Easter 9s Tournament in Rotorua.

Traditionally, we have run a Club 9s tournament where we have the opportunity to select multiple teams to attend this event. 

However, with only one Auckland team per grade being entered this year, we have opted to move to an open trial process to ensure all eligible club players can be considered for this opportunity.

From these trials, the top 15 players in each grade (U16 & U18 Boys and Girls) will be selected to represent Auckland Rugby League.

The tournament will be played over Easter Weekend (Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th April), with teams travelling on Friday 3rd April and returning following their final game on Sunday.

All trials will be held at Cornwall Park on Satruday 21st March.

U16 & U18 Girls
Arrive: 9:00am
Trial Starts: 10:30am

U16 & U18 Boys
Arrive: 10:30am
Trial Starts: 12:00pm

Important Information:

• This is an open trial process.
• All players wishing to be considered must attend trials.
• There will be no dispensations granted.
• Players must meet NZRL age eligibility criteria.
• Players must be available for the full tournament period, including trials and travel.
• Players must be an Auckland Rugby League club registered player.

Successful players will be required to contribute a $150.00 tournament fee, which covers training apparel (tee and shorts), accommodation, food, travel expenses, and other game day related costs such as physios etc.
