Primary School Rugby League

​​​​​​​ Primary school rugby league festivals are delivered by the Auckland Rugby League in four individual zones

There are two playing grades:

• Under 45kg
• Open weight

There are four zones within Auckland where tournaments are held:

• North Harbour​​​​​​​ 
• Western
• Eastern
• Central​​​​​​​

Please remember no mouth guard, no play. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Primary School Kiwi Tag

Kiwi Tag is a popular alternative outdoor recreational team sport - a non-contact game with rules designed to encourage this. The object of the game is to score tries and defenders prevent this by removing tags off the ball carrier's shorts (tagging). 

Auckland Rugby League deliver Kiwi Tag tournaments in Term 4.

The Auckland Rugby League can provide one free pre-tournament coaching session for either rugby league or Kiwi Tag where we will play games, teach skills and get your team primed and ready for their school zone tournament.

Schools must register a team before they request a coaching session and teachers must be present.​​​​​​​
